Pet of the Month.

Huxley November 2018

How did you come to live with your current family?
I was born just outside of Boise, Idaho. I had to take a 6 hour road trip to meet my new owner in Hood River, Oregon. From there I had to drive another 6 more hours to my new home in Bellingham. I’ve been told my owner saw an adorable photo of me, and decided right then and there to adopt me. She adopted me when I was eight weeks old.

What Silly or Little known facts should we know about you?
My breed, Coton de Tulear, gets its name from the French word for cotton and the city of Tulear in Madagascar. I am fluffy and soft like a cotton ball. We Cotons are known for having “clown-like” personalities, which I totally live up to! I love to walk on my hind legs and spin in circles when I’m really excited. I can run really fast and keep up with the big dogs.

Besides Day Care… what do you love?
I love to have my belly rubbed, go for long walks and car rides, play with my toys, hide in dark cozy places, and run laps.

What are your favorite toys or games?
Squeaky toys are my favorite, the noisier the better! I enjoy playing with all my stuffed animals. I also love to play fetch and catch with tennis balls.

If you had a major in college…what would it be?
If I went to college I would major in Performing Arts because I love to entertain people. I like to make lots of noise, do tricks and make people laugh.

If you wrote a personal ad… what would it say?
Adorable, fun loving, obedient, and hilarious circus dog: Available for entertainment and/or behavior training.

Other information we should know about you?
I am 16 months old. While I love to be silly, I am quite mature for my age. I can do lots of tricks for treats.
