Hi, I’m Cookie. What would you say if I told you I don’t like daycare? Skeptical? How can you be a regular at Tails and Pet of the Month no less and not like daycare you ask. Yes, there’s more to the story. I was a California girl, O.K. I still am a bit, and I lived with a family who owned a daycare… for Humans… I didn’t like it. My name then was Bodie… I didn’t like it. I was very stressed all the time, so much so I had a bad case of demodex… I didn’t like it. I came to Washington through a friend connection and I now have a whole new life, new name, and am much happier. As a result I have found many new talents I never knew I had. I am a master at the art of wiggle-butt. Lacking a tail, I make up for it by shaking my hinny like a Tahitian dancer. I am also a well-regarded, and nationally-acclaimed author, as I have narrated our family’s last three Christmas letters.

I have an important job at home, I am the keeper of the schedule. I let everyone know when they have deviated from the established routine. I also alert the world to the presents of any school children, corgis, and Labrador retrievers that may threaten the block. As long as my responsibilities are covered I enjoy the simple pleasures of running at full tilt, chasing sticks (but not bringing them back…that would be demeaning!), running off-leash on Chuckanut Ridge, and herding whoever happens to be in our house (I am an Australian Shepherd, Toy or no).

If you had a major in college… what would it be?

“If”? She’s already been accepted to Western, for their Neuroscience program! She starts in the fall with a full scholarship.

If you wrote a personal ad… what would it say?

“Young, petite, black and white female who knows what she wants but not what it looks like. Seeks play pals who enjoy lengthy and meaningful chasing, barking, and more chasing.”
