Pet of the Month.

Allie June 2017

Allie

Whee doggies – I am so pawsitively excited to receive this honor and my Mom is, too! Thank you!

How did you come to live with your current family?
I was adopted from the Whatcom Humane Society on 7/31/2007 when I was two years old as a “special needs dog”. The folks at the shelter were very kind to me and worked very hard to make sure I found a good home. They helped me with my fear of men, my special need, and once I left the shelter, mom and the staff at Tails continued helping me. When Angi told mom about my rough start in life, it all made sense.

What silly or little known facts should we know about you?
I managed to tear apart two recliners in one week and drag them across the floor in the family room. I also chase my cat sister, Athena, every once in a while. She sure can run fast! Yes, I get into trouble for that. Never leave a sandwich too close to the edge of the kitchen counter or it may suddenly disappear without a trace!

Besides Day Care.. what do you love?
Puzzles, walking (especially at the beach), playing with other dogs, riding in the car, and eating treats.

What are your favorite toys or games?
Puzzles, playing with Snorky (my stuffed hedgehog), and running up and down the hall squeaking my alligator so mom will get up.

If you had a major in college, what would it be?
Games. I really love to play and socialize.

If you wrote a personal ad … what would it say?
Charming, smart, social senior lady with red highlights running through a beautiful brown coat and gorgeous brown eyes. I would like to get together for a day of playing and running.

Other information we should know about you?
I am so excited about getting to daycare that when we are about a mile away, I start singing in the car. I make my mom’s life so much better by just being there for her and she loves me with all of her heart!
