Pet of the Month.

Julie May 2022

Hi!  I’m Julie

How did you come to live with your current family?
I am a successful graduate of the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society. My
pawrents were only supposed to foster me, but I became a part of the family
before they knew what happened.

What Silly or Little known facts should we know about you?
I might be a cat, because I enjoy chasing butterflies outside.

Besides Day Care… what do you love?
Protecting our yard from squirrels, and meeting new people. Mom says they
are strangers, but they are just friends we haven’t met yet!

What are your favorite toys or games?
I enjoy removing all the fluff and squeakers from my many, many toys and
roughhousing with my brother, Marty.

For enrichment, what do you prefer? food, scent, movement? something else?
TREATS!

If you had a major in college…what would it be?
Communications.

If you wrote a personal ad… what would it say?
Copper-colored watchdog seeking a playmate who likes to roughhouse by day
and snuggle on the couch by night. I prefer walking on the sunny side of
the street, enjoy chewing sticks (and cords, and plants, and my own feet),
and absolutely love tug of war (as long as I win) with my friends.

Describe your perfect day.
Sleeping in, eating treats, running around a mountain, getting belly rubs
from total strangers in a public place, finally chasing that annoying
squirrel off once and for all, and coming home late to a home-cooked meal
from my parents.

We know your real name is, but what are some of your nicknames?
Jules, Juuuuuuuuuulia Chiiiiiild, Jello Shot, J-Shot, Boo-Boo

What was your favorite trip you’ve taken?
Since I don’t know where I am half the time, every day is a new and
exciting adventure!

Do you have a best dog friend? At Tails or outside of Tails
My big brother Marty has been my bestest friend since I was adopted.

Are you a morning dog or a night owl?
Neither! I sleep in and go to bed early. Just you try to get me to move
when I’m resting!

Peanut butter or whipped cream?
YES, WHERE?

Where is your favorite place to sleep? (and no, you won’t get in trouble if
you say your Hoomon’s Bed)
At the foot of my parents’ bed, or else wherever someone was just sitting
on the couch, because they warmed it up for me. My cat brother Darwin won’t
allow me on the dog bed by the fire anymore.

Other information we should know about you?
My pawrents say I’m a gentle giant who doesn’t know how big I am. Don’t let
my awkward, lanky limbs fool you — I can run FAST when I want to! I also
know how to turn the big scary growls and booming barks when the squirrels
get too close. Just practicing my protection skills for when a baby hooman
joins the pack this summer and I get to be a big sister!
