Celeste and Ryan (aka Mom and Dad).

How did you come to live with your current family?
How did I come to live with my Mom and Dad? Oh man, that’s a super sad time and I don’t like to think of it. But I will say, after some very nice people took me to the doctor, I went to live with a kind lady named Cheri. She gave me some of my favorite toys like Sunshine and Ducky; both still great comforts in my life.
While Cheri was looking for good people who could give me my forever home, she enrolled me in dog school here at Tails-a-Wagging. Cheri, Angi, and all my teachers at Tails kept me safe and taught me good doggie manners while my potential forever humans were being interviewed. When I first met Ryan, I didn’t know if I could if I could trust him, but I liked how calm he was and he gave me lots of treats. The second time I met Ryan, Cheri took me to his house and I also met Celeste. Both of them were so patient and I really liked Celeste, she played with me and I gave her a kiss. This is a big deal because I used to be a very shy little girl. Long story short, Cheri picked Ryan and Celeste to be my guardians and I’m so happy to now call them Mom and Dad.

What Silly or Little known facts should we know about you?
I’m one years old and I might try to act super serious, but I can be quite sassy and goofy. Sometimes I run around the house squeaking my toys in the middle of the night, just because I can, muahahaha! But really, I’m just a sweet little girl who loves to go to the park and run around with my humans in the woods.
Besides my Mom and Dad, I live with a curmudgeonly old kitty cat who I call Grandpa. He’s REALLY mean and never wants to play with me, but that doesn’t stop me from trying. I don’t understand why he gets special food from a can and I don’t. My parents are always trying to keep me from eating his fancy food. They have tried many different tactics, but I’m extremely observant and I sometimes find a way to the ooey, gooey, yummy, canned kitty food. I’m drooling just thinking about it!

Besides Day Care… what do you love?

• I love cat food.
• I also love my dog friend Ossa who lives in Seattle. When we go camping, Ossa is my favorite adventure buddy to run around with. She likes to swim, but I don’t.
• I love my family, they are the best!
• And my dog friend Jack, I like getting on his nerves, I think its funny.

What are your favorite toys or games?
Lately, I’ve been really into Crinkle Zebra and Squeaky Gecko. I keep forgetting some of toys outside and then it rains, so Mom and Dad say those toys have to stay outside, which is so unfair! Ug, I need to figure out a way to get my toys back inside when my parents aren’t looking.

If you had a major in college…what would it be?
I would probably be a communications major with a minor in journalism. I’m still figuring out how all these humans communicate and what their actions mean. And I’m a journalism minor because I have strong opinions and a lot to say.

If you wrote a personal ad… what would it say?
Seeking goofy boy dog to be my brother and partner in cat food crimes. Needs to have good sense of humor and strong play ethic. Willing to trust the humans that I do not, and model how to be an approachable and self assured doggo with strangers. Must love cat food and be gentle with Grandpa kitty, because he’s old.

Other information we should know about you?
You know what really grind my gears? This guy Marcus who comes to my door everyday, except for Sunday. I don’t know what his deal is! Be on the lookout, he drives a little white truck, wears blue shorts, carries a bunch of paper around, and knows my name. Sometimes he leaves paper in a box on my porch! Sometimes my parents talk to him, and I’m like, “BARK BARK,” why are you speaking to the enemy?!?!
Marcus, if you’re reading this, I want you to know that you are persona non grata, even though my parents really like you.
