Managing the Growlies I

Growlies: adj. Behavior a dog displays such as barking, growling, extreme whining, lunging or jumping while on leash and in the presence of other dogs AND without a history of biting. A dog can display this to either want to get closer to or further away from another dog.
This 7 week course is designed to build your dog’s confidence in the presence of other dogs. We will give you the fundamental tools needed to confidently manage your dog’s growlies. The first session of this class is a mandatory people only orientation so we can set you up for success with your dog. Dogs fully participate in the remaining 6 sessions. This class is limited to 4 dogs per class.
PLEASE NOTE: even if we have met your dog before, via other training classes or lessons, we still ask that you fill out the informational form about your dog (even if you think we already have it on file) this is so we can have the most up to date behavioral information about your dog to better achieve you class goals.

Class Rules.

All dogs signed up for any of our obedience classes are required to be current on their vaccines, including DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies (if over 20 weeks old).

DHPP, is a combination vaccine, it protects your dog from Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus. Bordetella guards your dog against Kennel Cough, a highly contagious air borne virus in dogs. Rabies is a fatal disease in mammals and is required by law for all dogs. You will be required to show written proof of vaccines prior to the first class.

All puppies are to be as current as they can be, for their age, on their vaccines. This means puppies do not have to be completed on their vaccine series, just as far along as they can be.

We accept vaccines given by your veterinarian only, no final vaccines given by a breeder or owner-administered vaccines will be accepted.

Note: if we have never met your dog before we may need to evaluate your dog prior class start date.
