How did you come to live with your current family?

I was given to the Alternative Humane Society because I wasn’t getting the attention I deserved and needed.  When my mom and dad came out to the kennel where I was being fostered, I knew they were right for me.  But they came there to see some of my other friends.  So I had to give them my best Border Collie Eye (a stare that is capable of cutting through steel, yet is as sweet as chocolate) to get their attention.  I barked and barked and barked until I got their attention.  When they saw how cute I was, everything just fell into place and I had a wonderful new home!  I’m so glad I chose to adopt them.  I love them so much and I know they love me back!  How could they not??  And they don’t have any cats.

What Silly or Little known facts should we know about you?

I am a man of very few words.  I talk more with my eyes than with my mouth.  So if you do hear me bark, be sure to listen closely because it’s very important.  There is probably a cat around.

Besides Day Care… what do you love?

TENNIS BALLS!  Mom and dad take me to the park every day at lunch and again after mom gets off work and we play “chucker ball” where they chuck tennis balls down the field and I get to run after them.  I’m really good, really fast and my doctor says that my heart is truly that of an athlete.  I get to chase the tennis balls because there aren’t any cats around to chase.

What are your favorite toys or games?

TENNIS BALLS!  I also like Frisbees, but mom and dad can’t afford my “habit” because I destroy them in a matter of minutes.  Sticks are great fun too because I can destroy them.  I never run out of tennis balls because my mom’s boss owns a tennis club.  Please see my photo for further details.

If you had a major in college…what would it be?

Physical Education, of course!  I’m an athlete at heart.  I love to run and jump.  And I look so good when I run, so sleek and fast.

I would also have a minor in International Relations.  I like everybody to get along.  One kiss from me on their nose and I can melt even the hardest heart!  I love everyone.  Except cats.

If you wrote a personal ad… what would it say?

Casual laid-back bachelor looking for fun and adventure.  Loves long walks on the beach (as long as a tennis ball or stick being thrown is involved) and cuddling on the couch after a day of running and jumping.  Purebred or mixed breed, I get along with everyone.  I especially like smaller dogs.  Cats need not apply.

Other information we should know about you?

I’m TERRIFIED of thunderstorms and fireworks!  They scare me so much.

I also want everyone to know that there are some wonderful, very loving friends available at our local shelters.  I’m so thankful that my mom and dad looked at a shelter when they needed a special little guy in their life to love.  There are a lot of great ones like me out there.

And thanks for making me the Pet of the Month, I really appreciate it!  Does this mean I’m being considered for Pet of the Year?
